Dear Brother: Itachi and Sasuke Tribute

We’ve put together a little video from our cosplay shoot for the Uchiha brothers.

For maximum feelings, watch it on YouTube with annotations on. I’ve included a little narrative from Sasuke’s POV, which explores how he might have felt about his older brother before the incident.

“Dancing on Ice”, acara TV asal Britain dimana satu seleb dan partner profesionallnya ber-figure skating di depan para juri. Satu seri biasanya terdiri dari 8 pasangan; setiap minggunya mereka menggelar Routine Dancing dan akan ada satu pasangan yang dieliminasi.

Nonton ini memanjakan mata dan telinga banget. Rink dan lightning-nya diset ciamik, didukung oleh kostum dan tata rias yang menawan. Pilihan lagunya juga superb. Iyalah, buat acara komersil. Beda sama olimpiade ice dancing yg rink-nya gak ada nilai estetika dan tanpa lightning keren hahaha.

Sayang banget di Indonesia nggak tayang, mungkin karena di sini ice skating kurang diminati. Sila cek di YouTube saja, banyaksekali cut-scene yang bisa ditonton.Pasangan favorit saya Matt (pro) & Jorgie (celeb) dari season 7.

Ah, jadi pengen skating. PvJ yuk ._.

Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice Turns 200

On January 28, 1813, Jane Austen’s publisher Thomas Egerton released her second novel, Pride and Prejudice. Austen finished writing the novel in 1797 under the title First Impressions, but after prospective publishers declined to even see the manuscript, she heavily edited the story over the following 14 years until Egerton bought it for £110 ($172 present-day USD). Today marks the beginning of festivals, conferences and Austen readathons that “Janeites” have planned throughout the year to celebrate the story of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy’s tumultuous courtship. Two centuries later, Pride and Prejudice remains one of the most-taught and best-loved classics in Western literature.
